Hello and welcome to my podcast, The Wellness Project with Des. On today’s podcast episode, I speak with Valerie Hawkins about Nuero Nutrition and its impact on mental health.
I’m Desiree, a Mental Health Therapist and Holistic Wellness Coach, passionate about helping people improve their mental health and live a healthy and fulfilled life. One way I do this is by interviewing experts in the field of mental health and wellness as well as those that share their first-hand accounts with their mental health journeys. In this episode, we will hear from Valerie about how you can improve your mental health with what you eat.
Nutritionist, Valerie Hawkins is dedicated to helping women improve their mental health and well-being by being mindful of what they eat. Valerie draws on this from her lived experience. Growing up, she had always struggled with chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, migraines, anxiety, and depression. Through her healing journey, Valerie discovered nutrition’s significant role in enhancing energy, mood, and mental health. She says that after just one week of cutting out sugar, she felt a huge difference in her mood, motivation, and energy levels. This huge shift motivated Valerie to get her master’s degree in nutrition.
In our conversation, Valerie explains what Neuro Nutrition is and it’s huge impact on our mental health. She shares her own personal experience as well as the steps she took to improve her mental health through her diet. And she also shares many tips on how we can make small, impactful changes to improve our diet and in turn our mental well-being.
Listen to this insightful and important conversation to learn how you can make improvements to your mental health by making shifts in your diet.
