How to spend a fun day in NYC

This summer my sisters and I went to 3 pop ups. We had never been to one but I was seeing them pop up (pun intended) all over Facebook. We decided to check what these were all about. We went to Dream Machine, The Egg House, and Happy-G0-Lucky.

Here is my break down of each.

Dream Machine

Out of the three pop ups, Dream Machine was my fave, hands down. It had a lot going on and it was much more interactive than the other two. It had a lot of rooms and each room was so unique and beautiful. It took about an hour to get through it which I thought was the perfect amount of time. I actually had a lot of fun here and would love to go back. It was like a mini playground for adults. I highly recommend going!

You even get cotton candy. Yum!

The Egg House

The Egg House was strange. I didn’t really know what to make of it, especially after experiencing Dream Machine. The Egg House seemed…empty. There wasn’t much going on and I just couldn’t believe we paid what we did to get in. Anything over $5 is too much. It seemed like it randomly opened because it was jealous of all the other pop ups. I was disappointed in this one. We definitely did get cute pics but there wasn’t anything to experience. It was just two rooms to take pics in. However, I will say that my youngest sister liked it. I think this is definitely more geared towards kids. There were tons of kids running all around having fun.

Happy-G0-Lucky

Our last pop up was Happy-Go-Lucky. This pop up had a huge line to get in. We waited almost an hour to get in even though we bought our timed tickets ahead of time. This pop up had great photo ops but each one had a long line of people taking their selfies. While this one had more to it than The Egg House, it still wasn’t interactive like Dream Machine was. Happy-Go-Lucky calls itself an art installation but it is mostly just an Instagram photo op which, I was totally ok with. It was still pretty and fun. We had a great time and got some cute pics together. This is definitely something to go with friends or family if you want to get some fun pics together.

The coolest part I think was the very beginning. You walk through a diamond looking room that changes colors. It was beautiful!

Have you been to any of these pop ups? Let me know what you think. And if you have been to any must see pop ups definitely let me know!
