Exploring Miami’s Art District

If you love street art like I do then you better stick around because I am going to show you some amazing street art I saw in Florida when I was there visiting family for Thanksgiving.

I grew up in Florida and have visited countless times throughout the years but have never heard of Wynwood Walls. Have you??? My stepmom knows I love street art and found this cool place for our family to explore for the day.

Even some of the buildings were completely painted.

While there is art just all over the place, there is a specific area you can walk into. We walked in and spent a lot of time in this area walking around. The art was out of this world!

The weather was perfect. It wasn’t too hot or too cold and it was bright and sunny. Make note of my shorts and t-shirt in November.

Check out some of these amazing murals!

Not only was there street art but there were also cool art installations.

It was hard to choose but here are three of my faves from the day.

Be sure to look DOWN!

One of my favorite parts of Wynwood Walls were the inspirational messages all over the sidewalks! The sidewalks are just littered in messages. It was so fun to walk around and just everywhere you look there is something beautiful or interesting or intriguing.

Before lunch we passed Pink Pie and couldn’t resist. We went in and each got a baby pie. If you are in this area make sure you stop for some pie. You will not regret it! They are basically bite size pieces of heaven.

Don’t blink because you might just find some cool installations around the neighborhood.

One of my favorite parts of the day is when we came across this cool alleyway full of neon rainbow art!

After walking around and exploring all day, we worked up quite n appetite. My step-mom found this amazing restaurant, Wynwood Kitchen & Bar. The food was delicious! I ordered the Crispy Brussels Sprouts and the Maduros, which is sweet plantains and cheese. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Like I said, everywhere you look for blocks and blocks and blocks there is amazing, beautiful art. Here are some more I saw while we walked around.

We spent hours in the Miami Art District known as Wynwood Walls. We saw gorgeous art and had delicious food. It was an amazing day! Definitely add this area to your bucket list!
