I just got back from a month trip to Laos and Thailand. My boyfriend and I went to Laos for a little less than 2 weeks and then flew to Thailand where my sister met us. We were in Thailand for a little more than 2 weeks. We did so much, we saw so many amazing things and I have so much to say and show. I took over 2,000 pictures! Because there is so much to write I am going to break up the blog entries by city. I will also have a few blogs about particular places I visited.
Here was the layout of the trip.
Laos:
Flew from NY to Vientiane.
5 hour bus ride to Vang Vieng
5 hour bus ride to Luang Prabang
Thailand:
1 hour flight from Luang Prabang, Laos to Chiang Mai
Flight to Phuket
3 hour drive from Phuket airport to Khao Sok
3 hour drive back to Phuket
Ferry to Phi Phi Island
Ferry to Phuket, tuk tuk to airport, flight to Bangkok
Bangkok to NY
It was a lot of travelling and packing and unpacking and packing again. It was overwhelming at times but I feel we really saw both countries. I feel very satisfied with how we spent our time. I will get into much more detail in the particular entries.
My first entry will be on Vientiane, Laos. Coming as soon as I get my life a little settled. We just got back to town Friday night and we move across the country this coming Wednesday. Lots to do and my head is spinning. We are pretty much packed but our list of last minute things keeps getting longer.
