Hello and welcome to my podcast, The Wellness Project with Des. On today’s episode, I speak with Hannah Powell about her experience with burnout, being diagnosed with FND, and healing herself with nature.
I’m Desiree, a mental health therapist that is passionate about helping people improve their mental health and live a healthy and fulfilled life. One way I do this is by interviewing experts in the field of mental health and wellness as well as those that have struggled with their mental health but have gained control over it and now live fulfilling lives. In this episode, we will hear from Hannah about burnout, FND, and the importance of nature in your everyday life. I hope you enjoy this educational interview.
As a small child, Hannah grew up living next to her parent’s garden center. She loved plants and felt a strong connection with nature. She got her degree in horticulture but then moved to London and got a job in PR and marketing. Hannah explains that she had a strong work ethic from watching her parents work at their business. She worked hard and played hard which soon caused her to experience symptoms of burnout.
Hannah explains the burnout and FND symptoms she was experiencing as well as the steps she took to take her health into her own hands and heal. Listen to this episode to learn how to incorporate nature into your everyday life, to hear self-care tips, as well as how to slow down in a busy world.
