I have to say that I expected nothing going into The Guilt Trip. It looked ridiculous and silly but sometimes I am in that kind of mood so I went for it. I am shocked to say this but I was pleasantly surprised by The Guilt Trip. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. I never thought I would say this but The Guilt Trip was absolutely adorable!
For one, the relationship between Andrew Brewster (Seth Rogan) and his mother, Joyce Brewster( Barbra Streisand) was perfect. Their chemistry was spot on! I loved watching the two interact. Their interactions had me cracking up.
The plot was very interesting and sweet. This young man wants his mother to find love again, so he kind of tricks her and has her come with him to his cleaning supply pitches, but all the while, he is planning on bringing her to her long lost loves house…even though spending all his time with his annoying mother is the last thing he wants.
The Guilt Trip was so adorable and made me so happy. I even teared up!
If you want a sweet, cute, adorable family comedy, this is the film for you! I think this movie went way under the radar which makes me sad because it was so enjoyable.

Bechdel Test: Fail
Flight was not at all what I expected. I got a completely different idea about the movie from the trailer but I got a lot more than I expected. Flight was not only an action movie, it was the dramatic story of a man (Denzel Washington) battling addiction. Flight had great acting (duhhhh Denzel) and raw emotions. At times Flight was difficult to watch because you are watching a character you have come to care about spin out of control. Whip (Denzel Washington) continues to destroy his life and you can’t help but care. The writers did a great job of making Whip a likeable, sympathetic character. He has demons but he isn’t demonized because of his addiction. Whip is the underdog we are rooting for. He is an addict that we desperately want to get clean.
Flight brings you through many ups and downs. I smiled, I laughed, I cried, I sighed often.
Flight is a fantastic movie that doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. This is a film I highly recommend!

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars
I absolutely adore Juno Temple and I will see any film she is in. I originally wanted to see The Brass Teapot because of her but once I watched the trailer, I wanted to see it right away. I knew it was going to be fun to watch.
The Brass Teapot is by no means a fantastic movie that everyone needs to see but I loved it. I thoroughly enjoyed myself while watching it. There were so many times I laughed out loud and couldn’t stop. Though The Brass Teapot was predictable at times, other times I was genuinely shocked, usually when the film became dark. The movie was violent at times, which is to be expected from a movie that is about a teapot that gives you money when you hurt yourself or others.
The chemistry between Alice (Juno Temple) and John (Michael Angarano) was perfect. They were adorable and totally believable as a couple.
This is a film that anyone can relate to. We all want more of something. This film allows us to put ourselves into the shoes of the main characters because they are so relatable. This film allows us to ask ourselves, “How far would I go?”
